SUPPORTING OUR MOVEMENT

As folx may know, I was the former Chief Diversity Office and Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at New College of Florida (NCF). During my time at NCF, I supervised the Office of Outreach and Inclusive Excellence, which was just recently under attack and abolished by the new conservative right-wing Board of Trustees appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis. Through their abuse of power and unwillingness to listen and communicate with the New College community, my office was closed and I was  fired shortly after due to my identities and my belief in inclusion.  However, I did not lose my motivation and commitment for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion despite these difficult challenges. In fact, I am determined to continue my life's purpose of fostering community through dialogue, cultural exchange and the arts. This is how Mosaic Movements was born.

However, my team and I need your help to do it!

So we have partnered with the Peace Education and Action Center located in Sarasota, Florida. The center has graciously offered  to become Mosaic Movements’ fiscal sponsor in order to support us in raising funds as we navigate to become a non-profit organization.

The Peace Education and Action Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit , whose mission is focused on connecting and empowering people to build a more just and peaceful community and world. Through our partnership, your donations will not only be tax-deductible, but play a crucial role in supporting our ability to bring quality multimedia art, support the development of BIPOC and Queer artists, and allow our community to continue diversity, equity and inclusion education through the arts, civil discourse and cultural exchange locally, nationally and globally.

How Funds Will be used:

Heading Funds raised will help our team build capacity and infrastructure as we establish Mosaic Movements as a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization and start to build our artistic programs and initiatives focused on performance, film and multimedia work.

Funding Goals:

Listed above are our funding goals regarding the anticipated expenses as we navigate this new journey.

I also want to thank you on behalf of Mosaic Movements for your donation to support  the growth of our artistic endeavors, educational and youth programs, cultural exchange opportunities, and artists development initiatives. Thank you so much for your time, consideration and contributions towards our success.
